This little video is a great summary of why I love to share Sacred Geometry. If you are considering taking a drawing class with me, it's a great overview of the subject and the classes I offer! My online course is in the final stages of development and I look forward to sharing it with you in 2022! |

Drawing the 64 Star Tetrahedron
The Star 64 Tetrahedron is a most remarkable geometry. It contains a shape that is called the Vector Equilibrium. According to Buckminster Fuller the father of Sacred Geometry, "It's the only geometry in perfect equilibrium in all vectorial possibility". Which means it's the only thing of it's kind, and that thing, is the fundamental geometric pattern of our reality. There is so much incredible intelligence contained in this shape. We will cover some of the fundamental aspects of it before we get in to drawing. Mostly however, we will be drawing one of the most satisfying geometries there is to draw! You can draw this amazing shape without any experience. You will need a compass, pencil, ruler and small eraser. 11"x14" size paper is preferred but 8 .5" x11" will work. We will draw two versions of the shape, the 2D and "3D" version - see images below. Please familiarize yourself with using your compass prior to the class! |
Drawing the Tesseract: A Wrinkle in Time "The Tesseract is the Fourth Dimension while the cube represents the physical or third dimension. In the fourth dimension, there are multiple realities which are going on simultaneously. The Tesseract or, hypercube transcends time and place and can hold multiple definable locations and appearances." What!? Come learn to draw the Tesseract/ 8 fold geometry/ hypercube and have a good time cracking your brain open with new concepts of dimensional reality. It's a beautiful geometry to draw and unbeknowst you you, while you are drawing it, you'll open some new neural pathways by seeing time and space in a new way. What? Just by drawing? Yes! Come play! Eventbrite does not have the capacity to offer sliding scale so the event is listed under donation, with a $20-$30 requested scale. More or less beyond that range is welcome too, just come draw! You will need a compass, sketch pad, ruler and colored pencils. * Quote from: Eight fold Geometry & The 4th Dimensional Tesseract. Drawing the Sri Yantra
Sri Yantra is a form of a mystical diagram, a Tantric ritual drawing used for meditation and concentration. The enchanting diagram consists of nine triangles that intersect at various points to form 43 smaller triangles. Five of the nine triangles point downwards and represent Shakti, the feminine power. The remaining four represent Shiva, the masculine, and point upwards. Aside from the extremely complex geometric properties, the Sri Yantra is interpreted to have a very deep, detailed cosmological interpretation. It has also been observed to have a number of properties responsible for psychophysiological influences which are widely used in modern therapeutic suggestive methods. The Sri Yantra is also a very precisely constructed design based on the Golden Ratio, a constant equation observed in all of creation. It incorporates triangles that follow the rules of the Golden Ratio, often known as the Golden Triangles. This ancient technology draws on thousands years of Hindu mysticism which we will reference, but the class will mostly focus on drawing and technique. *Sri Yantra information sourced from Mandalas Life Nepal website. |
In this one hour mini-class, we will dip our toes into the potent waters of Sacred Geometry, just enough to get a taste of it’s magnificence!
Sacred Geometry is the study of harmonic patterns that underlie and create the world around us. It is the one thing that is found in everything. The harmonic ratios and proportions of Sacred Geometry can promote a sense of wellbeing within us. Drawing these fundamental patterns can be transformational. We will cover some basic information and draw 2 geometric patterns. Resource materials will be provided. No experience necessary. Materials required: compass, ruler and drawing pad. Colored pencils are recommended. |
Introduction to drawing Sacred Geometry Immersion
Come explore the seriously potent fun of drawing the simple but profound universal patterns of Sacred Geometry. 3 hours is the perfect amount of time to experience Sacred Geometry on multiple levels. We'll learn to draw several basic geometric patterns that are simultaneously simple and profound including; the Seed of Life, Sunflower pattern/ Toroidal field, 12 fold geometries and Metatron's Cube which includes all 5 Platonic solids! In addition to drawing, you'll learn some of the information and aspects that make Sacred Geometry so fascinating. For example, did you know that as you draw the balanced ratios and proportions of Sacred Geometry, we begin to entrain with their harmonic properties and align our subtle energy systems into a state of coherence? Sacred Geometry is infinitely fascinating, extraordinary and totally transformational! Through direct experience with these universal patterns, we can understand the interconnectedness of all things and dissolve the illusions of separation and scarcity. It’s seriously amazing. You will need: compass, ruler, sketch pad and colored pencils. All levels are welcome and no experience is necessary. |
Join Ansula Press and Nadi Hana for an evening of creative expression and contemplative practice. The 4 hour immersion is designed to support your well being and expand your sense of delight in this human experience! We will be facilitating the harmony, balance and alignment that accompany drawing these beautiful and Universal patterns.
Sacred geometry reveals the harmonic patterns that underlie and create the world around us. The Mandala is the Sacred Circle, an ancient symbol of wholeness. Direct experience with mandalas and sacred geometry can create a greater sense of understanding into the interconnectedness of all beings. The first 1/2 of the class will be focused on drawing Sacred Geometry. The second 1/2 will be an exploration into the meditative practice of drawing Mandalas. We will pause throughout the class with brief meditations to integrate the experience. Giving yourself dedicated time for your creative process with other like minded souls is a wonderful gift, and engaging in conscious expression of art is so nourishing. Come join us and rejuvenate your spirit! Eventbrite does not have the capacity to offer sliding scale so the event is listed under donation, with a $45-$55 requested scale. Please feel free to contact me with questions about the registration process. No experience is necessary! Materials needed: 11"x14" paper recommended but not required, (8 1/2" minimum size paper), compass, colored pencils, ruler. *Ansula Press has been teaching the Art of Drawing Mandala for over 30 years. |
